Visiting the Railjet, a quite new and modern train with special facilities for wheelchair users and blind people, organised by the ÖBB
The excursion starts at 16:00 at the „Westbahnhof" (Railwaystation).
You may go by Metro (self-payment) with a guide.

Visiting the "Wiener Linien" (Public Transport System in Vienna) - Achievements and future developments in Public-Transport-Infrastructure explained on a visit of the new built U1 station of Kagraner Platz and the junction of U1 and U2 Praterstern. This excursion includes highlights like an info-point with a real time display for connection to tram- und buslines, visual and tactile information systems on a railway-crossing, on-trip-demonstration of POPTIS - the navigation system for blind people of the Wiener Linien ... and some other good practice examples. Guided tour organised by Wiener Linien. Guides Mr. Roland Krpata and Mr. Alfred Geiger."

Visiting the new office and information centre (special adjusted for blind people and people with visually impairment) of the Hilfsgemeinschaft der Blinden und Sehschwachen
The excursion starts after the end of the congress .

Carriage ride with the famous Fiaker (a special horse drawn cab).
There' is one usable for wheelchair users. Pull-out ramps and adjustable seats allow an easy and safe access for wheelchairs up to 300 kg total weight. Additional up to 3 accompanying persons are possible.
The tours start normally from the Albertina, Burgtheater, Heldenplatz, Peterskirche or Stephansplatz. Other arrangements are possible.
The fee is the same as for other cabs:
Short city tour, duration approx 20 minutes € 40 --
Big Tour, about 40 minutes € 65 --
"Panorama Tour", approx 60 minutes € 95 --

Sightseeing Vienna with guides, special tours for wheelchair users and visually impaired people are available, starting after the congress.
Self payment between 7 and 10 Euro. Minimum number of participants: 8. The guides will meet you in the city. Other arrangements are possible.
